Two hours on knots, belaying, and movement, Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm. Six students, one coach, shoes and harness included. You leave belay-certified.

A day on the granite boulders outside town with a guide and crash pads, matched to your level. October through April. Booked by email.

Lead Climbing Clinic

Two Saturday mornings on clipping, falling, and rope management. Pass the lead check at the end and you can lead on the rope walls.

Youth Club

Coached sessions Tuesday and Thursday at 4pm for ages 8 to 16, from first holds to regional comps. The first week is a free trial.

Guided Multi-Pitch

A long day on a classic Sierra line with a guide, rack, and ropes provided. Solid 5.8 leading required. We run these into mid-October, then again from June.

What the desk gets asked most

No experience needed

Shoes, harness, and chalk are at the desk, and the intro session assumes you have never tied a knot.

Reset every two weeks

The boulder room turns over on a rota, so a regular never climbs the same wall two months running.

Real rock twenty minutes out

The boulders north and west of town come into season in October, and a guide knows which ones are out of the wind today.

Belay partners found

Turn up alone on a Tuesday and the board by the desk will pair you with somebody by the time you are laced up.

Before your first session

Questions new climbers ask

Gear, experience, and how a first visit works.

None. Shoes rent for $6, and harnesses and chalk come with a day pass. If you have never belayed, take the Intro to Climbing Class first. It runs Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm.

A free belay check at the desk unlocks top-rope on any visit, and the Intro class ends with one. The lead clinic is $70 over two Saturday mornings and ends with a lead check.

Yes. It bills monthly and you can cancel with 30 days notice. You can also freeze it for up to two months a year, for an injury or a long trip.

Yes. Bring a friend and we scan two visits off the same card. It is good for a year from purchase.

High-desert weather turns fast, so a guided day is rebookable or refunded if conditions make the boulders unsafe. Wind is the usual reason, and we make the call the evening before.

Problems run from V0 to V10 and routes from 5.6 to 5.13a. There is a warm-up wall and a slab corner that is kind to beginners.

There is a coffee bar with power and decent wifi looking onto the boulder room, which is where half the town seems to take its calls.
